French sconce, Louis XV cast brass, cupid on deep crystal ball

This gorgeous piece has been EXHAUSTIVELY RESTORED. A stunning, early, elaborate wall sconce. Highly ornate. Made in a beautiful and heavy cast brass; re-finished in a soft polish & lacquer. A full-figure Cupid sits atop a large, clear, solid crystal ball. The crystal has the tantalizing quality of inviting one to peer deeply into it. He is holding a torch with "candle" (electrified). To the sides are two outward-pointing lights with glass shades. The sconce weighs about 15 lbs.
