UNIQUE 12-arm gasolier, Eastlake based

FULLY RESTORED. Fantastic and unique high-Victorian American gilt-brass gas chandelier, yet based off of Eastlake styling. A very rare piece, probably one-of-a-kind in the world, it has twelve gas arms. It has even barely been electrified, with the gas valves "jumped" over, not drilled out. The gas keys are large and splendid. We have kept its old finish, with only light cleaning performed. A couple of tiny decorative pieces were re-cast by us, because everything else is there in its full originality. Griffins, lions'heads, warrior faces, cherubs, butterflies & moths (extremely rare) are some of the stunning decorations that are visible on this treasure. We will fully electrify this chandelier and include shades shown. OPTIONAL: a set of 2 5/8" fitter, VERY FINE, HIGH-QUALITY HAND-CUT gas shades, reproductions of c.1876 exact era (not shown here) -- for $2000 ADDITIONAL. Also, we include its setting up properly to hang at the height you specify. This one belongs in display books.
PROVENANCE:
seemingly unsigned. Almost certainly Cornelius & Sons, Philadelphia, c.1876 (based on thorough and extensive research from many trade sources, catalogs, books, magazines, including research at The Athanaeum in downtown Philadelphia, where some original Cornelius pieces are shown and used.)
